It’s March and that means we’re still at the beginning of the new year, but we’re already seeing some changes to the tax laws for U.S. expats. It seems that the IRS creates new rules and regulations every year when it comes to expatriate taxes.

We Love Our Clients
There are certain celebrations on the calendar in the United States that American expats cannot forget after they move abroad. Valentine’s Day is certainly one of them. While other countries do not observe February 14th as Valentine’s Day, American expatriates living overseas still make sure to send Valentine’s Day cards, enjoy nice dinners with their soulmates and don’t forget to give the traditional gifts of chocolates or even jewelry.
New Year; New Goals
Everyone at Expatriate Tax Returns wishes you a happy and successful New Year. The beginning of a new calendar year provides us all with new opportunities. Many will focus on New Year’s resolutions that better our selves like exercise more, quit a bad habit or spend more time with our family.
An important, and often overlooked, New Year’s resolution is to trust others with certain necessary tasks to allow us more time for other opportunities. Looking back on the past year, perhaps you recognize that you spent more time than you would have liked on your personal finances. As an expat you’re very busy and could be spending your precious time pursuing other interests than preparing your expatriate tax returns. Whether you choose to spend more time with family, more time visiting exciting places abroad or putting in a few more hours at the office each week, giving ExpatriateTaxReturns.com the task of preparing your expat taxes will alleviate this burden from you.
It’s not always easy to trust others with the responsibilities you’ve been accustomed to doing yourself, but when it comes to the often complicated encumbrance of expatriate taxes, trust the professionals at ExpatriateTaxReturns.com this year and you’ll enjoy not having this task. You’ll also appreciate the extra time you’ll have to spend however you choose. Expatriate Tax Returns has a very well deserved stellar reputation for preparing and filing expat’s tax returns. While it might be possible to “Do It Yourself,” today’s expats are maintaining busy schedules and it’s much more prudent from a financial perspective to make the phone call to the pros at ExpatriateTaxReturns.com or visit us on the Web today.
Here’s to a wonderful 2016! We’re here for you so call us today at our support hotline: (877) ETAX-123 or (877) 382-9123.
The Holiday Time and Appreciation
The time between Thanksgiving and Christmas is a wonderful time for most people. It’s about family, gift giving and closing the year in style. For some expats, however, the winter holiday season can get lonely and feeling homesick for the good ole US of A is normal.
While holidays like Christmas and Hanukkah are celebrated no matter where you’re living in the world, Thanksgiving is an American holiday and may not feel the same while you’re abroad. Sometimes groups of expats will get together to celebrate Thanksgiving in places like London, Sydney, Tel Aviv or Paris.
It is important for American expatriates to understand how grateful their companies feel toward them for making the sacrifice of living abroad for a year or more. Not everyone would be willing to pack up their homes and move their family to a different country, but expats have stepped up to meet this challenge head on.
During the holiday season, all of us at Expatriate Tax Returns offer our sincere thanks to our expat clients. We’re grateful to be able to provide assistance with your expat taxes and to remind you of how appreciated you are. We wish you a happy holiday season and a prosperous new year.
